Introduction to tasting and
pairing seafood & wine
Overview
Discover the world of wine tasting by taking part in our introductory course designed around the tasting techniques of the renowned Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) to awaken your senses and refine your palate.
We will discover two white and two red wines, from appellations chosen according to your preferences or that we can select for you according to your tastes.
We’ll prepare a platter of seafood to help you discover how to combine food and wine.
Depending on the atmosphere you want to create for your event, we can organise it in a fully equipped tasting room, at a wine merchant’s, in a hotel, or at your home.

Course
Welcome participants at the meeting point. Make yourself comfortable and say hello to the other participants!
We start the tasting with the lightest of the wines to be tasted. As we get to know this first wine, we introduce the important concepts of appellation, grape variety and the steps to follow when tasting a wine.
Once the first wine has been tasted, we introduce the first platter of dishes to be paired with the first wine, introducing the principle of pairing.
This is followed by alternating breaks to enjoy the wine and food, and the tasting of subsequent wines.
We’ll tell you where you can find the wines you’ve tasted, so you can order them if you want to enjoy them again in the future!
